The BestMex Problem

BestMex came to us in the summer of 2009, wanting to enter a new market. For years, they had functioned as MXGA, a provider of commercial auto insurance to Mexico from the U.S. and vice versa. However, they wanted to try their hand at the consumer side of the market, relying on their industry expertise and knowledge to give them a competitive advantage. Their presence in the search engines, however, was minimal at the time.

The BestMex site, on average, was receiving around 400 organic visits a month before the implementation of our Search Engine Optimization Strategies. Following the implementation, BestMex saw:

  • An average 210% increase in total organic traffic over the first 3 months following implementation of strategies
  • Similar increases in “non-branded” traffic, a clear indication of increased presence in the search engines for competitive terms
  • Increased visibility for Top 40 keywords from bottom of second page to top of second page
  • Increased backlinks from <10,000 (June 2009) to nearly 14,000 (September 2009) – an average of 1,000 naturally appearing links a month
